Garden open for Customers to pick up orders... Press Release

I just sent a Press Release to both newspapers on the Olympic Peninsula. Here's what it said: Jan’s Country Garden will open for three (3) days from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 9, 10, and 11 for customers to pick up their dahlia tuber orders. The garden will be closed for two weeks and re-open April 30 and May 1 – 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. To schedule an appointment or to pick up tubers at any other time, please call 360-452-8287. The ideal time to plant dahlia tubers on the Olympic Peninsula is during the first part of May or after the night temperature is consistently 50-60 degrees or warmer. Most dahlias begin to bloom by the first of July and bloom until first frost in late October or November. Jan’s Country Garden was recently selected as one of the Top 5 Dahlia suppliers in the U.S. and provides more than 700 varieties of dahlias ranging from orchid, anemone, cactus, formal decorative, collarette and dinner plates. The garden is celebrating its 25th year of operation and is centrally located between Port Angeles and Sequim just 1/3 mile off Highway 101 at 344 O'Brien Rd., Port Angeles, WA. New Sold Outs will be showing up tomorrow...

I have a dilemma: My computer will not be available to me in order to update the Sold Out dahlia tubers from December 22, 2014, through January 5, 2015. What would be the best way to handle this dilemma so I don't end up disappointing people by not having enough tubers?

How do I get the word out?

I have a dilemma, and I need suggestions...

I will not have my computer available to update my website from December 22, 2014, until January 5, 2015 -- More than two weeks! I update the website every week. I won't be able to do it. How do I get the word out?

Well, I over estimated my abilities on my website updating...

I was hoping to upload the website today, but, that's not going to happen. I have updated the entire list of dahlias available in the garden so you can look at that and place an order if you wish. I will continue working on the website... photos take so much time to crop and place... have patience!! :-)

WORKING on the website the last few days....

What a job!! Hoping to upload it on Wednesday! Hope your day is going better than our rainy day! Time to cut the dahlias down and start digging... oh, JOY!! :)

I'm waiting until more are in bloom before opening the garden.  I expect the garden to be open beginning Thurs., August 7 thru the 9th and be open every Thurs., Fri. and Sat. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. until first frost.

Jan's Country Garden will open April 26th at 10 a.m.

The Garden opens for customers to come pick up their dahlia tuber orders.  Hopefully the weather will have improved enough for folks to actually plant their tubers.

Soon we will all be picking flowers...

The garden will also be open beginning April 30, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wed., Thurs., Fri. and Sat. for a couple of weeks.  If these times are not convenient, please call me at 360-452-8287 to arrange for a different time to pick up your order.  Thanks a lot!!
